Botox & Dysport & Xeomin
Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport® and Xeomin®, also known as neuromodulators, are injectables that are used to relax the muscles of the face and temporarily reduce muscle contraction.
Every time you have a facial expression, such as a smile, laugh, frown, squint or puzzled look, you contract the muscles of your face. Over many years, these contractions produce permanent furrows and deep wrinkles in the skin, especially on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes and mouth. These “dynamic wrinkles” may create an older, sad, angry or tired appearance that does not reflect the youth and vitality you feel inside.
Treatment with Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport® or Xeomin® can prevent you from deepening these lines during natural facial movements and also erase these marks to some extent, leaving you looking more refreshed. They specifically improve the appearance of forehead lines, crow’s feet, vertical lines between the eyebrows, lines around the mouth and a gummy smile.
The injections are done through tiny needles that cause minimal discomfort and do not require anesthesia. Recovery is immediate. Full results appear in 4 to 7 days and last for three to six months. Bruising is a common side effect while the chance of temporary muscle drooping is only one percent.
These products are extremely safe for all except those who are pregnant or have neurological disorders. During the consultation process, our physicians will help you decide which product can best achieve your individual cosmetic goals.
